Perianesthesia Certification Review

Certification exams in one’s specialty reflect the critical thinking and care given to the patient in all phases of anesthesia. This session will present key topics essential for preparing the perianesthesia nurse for taking the CPAN and CAPA certification examinations.

8:30am – 11:00am Anesthetic Agents and Techniques (2.25 DC) (includes a 15 min break)

11:00am – 12:30pm Special Populations (1.5 DC)

12:30pm – 1:30pm Lunch (On Your Own)

1:30pm – 3:00pm ASPAN Standards (1.5 DC)

3:00pm – 3:15pm Break

3:15pm – 4:15pm Clinical Judgement in Perianesthesia Nursing (1.0 IC)

4:15pm – 4:45pm Test Taking Tips (0.5 IC)

4:45pm – 4:55pm Evaluations
