Requirements for successful completion:  To successfully complete this program, you must attend the program in its entirety, complete the online evaluation, and achieve 100% on the posttest, prior to the deadline.  Complete within two weeks (14 days) to receive contact hour credit.

Shay Glevy, BSN, RN, CPAN, CAPA

Shay has a BSN and holds certifications in CPAN, CAPA and PHN. Shay is also a Certified Holistic Wellness Coach and a Certified Aromatouch Technician.

Shay was a product of growing your own and was hired into the PACU as a new grad.
She has worked at Rady Children’s Hospital for 27 years and has held positions from staff nurse, charge nurse and at present is the PACU Supervisor. She still spends time at the bed side as her facility 20 OR’s and do over 100 surgical procedures per day.

Shay has a passion for her profession and show that by being involved in her association both on a state level and national level. She is part of PANAC (Perianesthesia Nursing Association of California) and has held positions as past-President, President, President-elect, secretary (2 times) and District Director (2 times). She has also been involved in ASPAN as Regional Director, speaking on Pediatrics, helped organize national conference when held in San Diego and helped write the Competency Based Orientation Manual for Pediatrics. She currently is a team lead for the Clinical Practice Committee. One of her proudest moments was to sit on the committee for the Standard and Guidelines and review and update the Standards. Shay has also started doing some Legal Nurse Consulting and has found it has increased her awareness in her documentation.

For fun Shay loves to travel and serve. For the past two years she has gone to Kenya to serve at an orphanage and surgical center at Kenyarelief.org.

Shay has been married for 26 years and has two adult children. One is graduated from college and the other is in his second year. Her dog-child “Jake” gets a lot of attention now that her kids are grown.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Full refund upon receipt of cancellation date-stamped 30 days or more preceding webcast date. An administrative fee of 20% will be charged for any cancellation date-stamped 29 days or less preceding one week of the webcast date. Webcasts cancelled within one week or less of the webcast date are not eligible for a refund. This cancellation policy applies regardless of when you register.
