511 - Radiation Safety in Recovery

Radiation exposure is a source of anxiety and stress for recovery nurses. This session will present nuclear medicine procedures like the placement of SIRT spheres and examine dosimetry recorded by our staff in the PACU while caring for these patients. This presentation will also showcase educational interventions developed to ease anxiety and increase confidence in caring for patients recovering from nuclear medicine procedures.
