Artificial intelligence is increasingly influencing healthcare delivery, creating new opportunities and responsibilities for perianesthesia nurses. Guided by the ASPAN Position Statement on Artificial Intelligence, this session explores the professional practice implications of AI integration, including nursing accountability, clinical judgment, patient advocacy, ethical considerations, and workforce readiness. Participants will discuss strategies for preparing nurses to work effectively in AI-augmented environments while maintaining the human-centered care, critical thinking, and professional standards that define perianesthesia nursing practice.
