This session explores alternative anesthetic options such as TIVA (total intravenous anesthesia), MAC (monitored anesthesia care) and reviews new intravenous anesthetic medications including remimazolam and fospropofol. Post anesthesia care following these anesthetic approaches is discussed using a case study approach.
