This presentation reviews the current evidence-based recommendations for preanesthesia testing and screening to reduce the risk of surgical cancellations and delays. The presentation will include screening tools which can be applied in the preanesthesia testing and/or preop admission departments, review of ASA testing recommendations and the recognition of patients at-risk for complications.
