Caring for the pediatric patient can be daunting, despite experience and exposure. Children have significant anatomical and physiological differences, which increases the risks of postoperative complications. This session addresses the importance of adequate preparation for pediatrics to avert respiratory adverse events (PRAEs) in the PACU.
